Four Arab countries agreed to extend the term of ultimatum to Qatar

Almaty. July 3. Silkroadnews – Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have agreed to give Qatar additional 48 hours to respond to the list of demands placed on June 22 to overcome the crisis, Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports with reference to Al Jazeera TV channel.
Earlier, the Kuwaiti state news agency KUNA informed that the government of the country acting as a mediator in the negotiations, received Qatar’s response to four countries’ ultimatum. In a reply announced by Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani the country requested another 48 hours to comply with a list of demand.
At the same time, a meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain is scheduled for July 5 to form a common position regarding Qatar”, TASS notes.
To remind, on June 22, Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt sent Qatar via Kuwait a list of 13 demands to overcome the crisis and gave the country 10 days to comply with the demands. Among the demands there are cessation of military cooperation with Turkey and shutting down the Turkish military base in Qatar regarded by Ankara as a contempt of the republic. The Qatari government called the demands impracticable and called for their review.
On 5 June Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, the interim government of Libya, the Maldives and the Republic of Mauritius accused Qatar of supporting terrorism and extremist ideology, hostile politics and interference with the Arab States’ affairs. Doha considers these accusations as groundless.
