Four current senators are going to run for the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan in October

Almaty. August 8. Silkroadnews - Participation in the elections to the upper house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan was confirmed by four acting senators, told KazTAG citing deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Foos.
"Four of the 79 candidates for Senate are acting senators. This are: Sarsenbai Yensegenov - Atyrau region, Sergei Plotnikov - East Kazakhstan region, Erbulat Mukaev - West Kazakhstan region, Vladimir Bortnyk - Mangistau region", - said V. Foos at a briefing on Friday.
He noted that for August 8, nominated 79 candidates for deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan.
"14 people are nominated by maslikhats and another 65 took advantage of the right to self-promotion. Among the nominees 4 women. The median age is 53 years old, while the youngest of them is 37 years old, and the oldest is 66 years", - said Vladimir Foos.
Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission said that by occupation 4 people - members of senate, 33 are employed by government agencies, organizations, enterprises and institutions, 28 - employees of commercial structures, 13 - workers of culture, education and health care.
