Gas supply to China started through the branche C with pipeline Central Asia-China

Almaty. June 16. Silkroadnews - Supplies of natural gas to the PRC on a branch C of the pipeline Central Asia-China started, reported KazTAG.
"Supply of natural gas to China officially started on branch C of the pipleline Central Asia-China. This was reported on the website of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC)», - said in a statement release on Monday.
As reported, the line C of the pipeline was put into operation at the end of May this year.
According to CNPC, branch C of the pipeline is laid parallel with the branches A and B, its total length reaches 1830 km, capacity is 25 billion cubic meters of gas per year, among which 10 billion cubic meters will be supplied fr om Turkmenistan, 10 billion - from Uzbekistan and 5 billion from Kazakhstan.
Branch C begins in the border area between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, runs through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to China and extends to Checkpoint "Khorgos" Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in Northwest of China, wh ere it connects with the third line of the Chinese West-East Gas Pipeline .
Construction of this branch was launched in September 2012, at the end of 2013 the construction of the branch was completed.
Currently, the annual volume of natural gas supplied by the branches C equals to 7 billion cubic meters. It is expected by the end of 2015 to reach 25 billion cubic meters per year, and the total capacity of the pipeline Central Asia-China will increase to 55 billion cubic meters per year.
Branches A and B of the gas pipeline Central Asia-China commissioned in late 2009 and October 2010, respectively. These two branches are connected to the second line of the Chinese West-East. These two branches supply annually 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China from Turkmenistan.
