Gasoline imports to Iran decreased due to the increase in domestic production

Tehran. September 17. Silkroadnews - Iran has significantly reduced gasoline imports from abroad in connection with an increase in the production of this type of fuel in the country, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
Deputy Director General of the National Company for the production and distribution of petroleum products of IRI Shahrukh Husravoni informed that in the next 2 months production of gasoline in Iran will grow by 2 million liters, which would allow the country to continue to implement policies to reduce the volume of import of fuel.
According to him, in the beginning it was planned to import up to 10 million liters of gasoline a day, but the growth of production at domestic refineries, control fuel consumption and the establishment of adequate reserves has reduced its import to 4.7 million liters per day.
