GDP in Kyrgyzstan for 11 months, increased by 3.5% and amounted to more than $6 billion
Almaty. December 10. Silkroadnews - GDP in Kyrgyzstan in January-November of this year increased by 3.5% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 347 billion 778.7 million soms ($6.038 billion), reports KyrTAG.
In Express NSC report of Kyrgyzstan the main indicators of socio-economic development in January-November of the current year are the volume of industrial production which decreased by 0.4% compared with the period of 2013 and amounted to 141 billion 958.6 million soms.
The decline in industrial production in comparison with the corresponding period of 2013 is mainly due to the decrease in production plants at the deposit "Kumtor".
At the same time, the growth of industrial production in January-November this year registered in the production of food (including drinks) and tobacco products by 6.8%, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products - by 6.9%, electricity - by 5.2%.
Still a huge gap from the the same period in 2013 has the textile industry and the manufacture of clothing. The decline in the gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries is mainly due to the reduction of crop production by 4.6%.
