Germany will provide 350 million euros in 2016 for the development of Afghanistan
Almaty. December 4. Silkroadnews - Germany is obliged to provide 350 million euros for the reconstruction of Afghanistan in 2016. This was announced by Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Brussels after a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, reported AfTAG.
F.Steinmeier added that the country will participate in the training, consulting and support to Afghan security forces and the Ministry of Defence under the flag of the NATO mission "strong support".
The meeting ended with an agreement by NATO allies to keep the number of troops in Afghanistan within the 12 thousand soldiers next year.
NATO intends to announce further funding for Afghanistan in 2018-2020 years at its next summit of leaders in July 2016.
