Almaty. April 20. Silkroadnews – Gold resources of Kazakhstan are estimated to make 9.5 thousand tons, the press service of the Kazakhstani prime minister reports.

“The inferred gold resources of Kazakhstan are estimated as 9.5 tons, including 7.7 thousand tons of gold deposits,” said the chairman of the committee of geology and subsoil use of the ministry of investment and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bazarbai Nurabaev at the 7th mining forum “MINEX-2016” in Astana on Wednesday.

According to him, the copper inferred resources are estimated at 100 million tons, zinc and lead – as 135 million tons and 50 million tons respectively. The potential of hydrocarbon resources in the Caspian basin is estimated as 63 billion tons of fuel equivalent.
