According to her, last year the prosecution authorities conducted 504 checks on the execution of the public procurement law, which resulted in 72 criminal cases and 81 administrative and disciplinary proceedings initiated, thus, the state has been repaid 12 million 503 thousand 696 som.
As a total 8642 checks were conducted last year, 905 cases of corruption were filed on the checks results. The state has been returned 136 million 923 thousand som, 57 million 268 thousand som – in monetary terms, and another 79 million 655 thousand 548 som – in volume terms.
“The primary reasons for the offence of the law, besides the corruption component itself, are weak professional competences, insufficient staff number and poor material and technical resources of the state agencies,” the prosecutor general said.
