Growing regional threats require urgent action by the CSTO to ensure "a calm life of the countries" , said Rakhmon
Almaty. September 15. Silkroadnews - Security threats of the region are growing and require the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to take immediate action, said Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Tuesday.
"It is important to strengthen the ability of workers of our organization so that we would be ready at any moment to use the entire arsenal of tools in case of need", - he said.
In his opinion, expanded relationships with the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and other international or regional organizations would increase the possibility of countering current threats.
"The same purpose would serve the expansion of military and economic cooperation, deepen cooperation between enterprises of the defense industry of CSTO member states, advocated by the Republic of Tajikistan", - stressed the head of the Republic of Tajikistan.
