Heads of border services of the SCO countries will join forces in border

Almaty. June 30. Silkroadnews - Heads of border services of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will join efforts to protect the borders, the Tajik news agency reported (TajikTA).
"The leaders of border services of the SCO countries agreed to join forces on border security at its 3rd meeting held in Kairokkum Sughd region (northern Tajikistan) to join efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, separatism, drug trafficking and other criminal manifestations. The meeting was attended by the heads of border services of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan", - reported in the Department of the MFA of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the situation on the borders of the SCO member states, discussed the implementation of decisions of the council of the regional anti-terrorist structure (RATS) on the draft agreement on cooperation and collaboration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on border issues.
In particular, the Tajik side informed the meeting on the draft plan of joint measures of border services of SCO Member States on border security on the background of International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, on the progress of the joint border operation of border services of the competent authorities of the Member States of the SCO "East-2014 ".
The meeting also approved the plan of the expert group of border services of the competent authorities of the Member States of the SCO in 2015.
