Heads of China and US agreed to work for further stable development of bilateral ties
Almaty. November 21. Silkroadnews – Chinese President Xi Jinping met with US President Barack Obama at the APEC summit in Lima, newspaper “People’s Daily” writes.
During the meeting, heads of the states agreed to work for further sound and stable development of bilateral ties in the right direction.
Xi Jinping pointed out that it is necessary to actively expand business cooperation, strive for the mutual benefit for the sake of two countries and the whole world, constructively resolve sensitive issues, adhere to the principles of mutual respect to avoid misunderstandings and erroneous conclusions and prevent aggravation of contradictions.
The head of China expressed readiness working with the newly elected US president Donald Trump to make efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries at the bilateral, regional and global levels, constructively resolve the differences, abandon confrontation and conflicts.
In his turn, B. Obama said the US and China together address challenges, effectively manage differences and work fruitfully using the appropriate mechanisms for consultation and cooperation. He said the US-China relationship is the world's most important bilateral relations, and being constructive will benefit the peoples of two states and the world community as a whole.
The sides also exchanged in-depth views on major international and regional issues of mutual interest.
