Heads of Iran and Russia agreed to coordinate work on crude market and cooperation on Syria

Almaty. November 29. Silkroadnews –  Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the Kremlin press service reported.

“The presidents agreed to further coordinate steps at the global hydrocarbon markets, including the energy dialogue between Russia and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. They have noted the fundamental importance of measures undertaken by OPEC states to restrict the production of raw materials as a key factor in stabilizing the global oil market,” the statement said.

The heads of the countries have also marked the level of Russian-Iranian cooperation on the antiterrorist track. It is agreed to continue to work closely together to ensure the long-term normalization of situation in Syria.

Special attention was paid to the priority joint projects in trade and economic fields.

The conversation was initiated by the Iranian side.
