Highway cargo link between China’s Chongqing and Bangkok to be opened in July

Almaty. June 26. Silkroadnews – Highway cargo link between the city of Chongqing (Southwest China) and the capital of Thailand Bangkok will be opened in July, Xinhua news agency reported.
According to information, Chongqing plans to open three cargo road routes connecting it to the ASEAN countries.
The eastern route from Chongqing to Hanoi (Vietnam) was opened last April.
In July, the central route covering 2.8 thousand km and connecting Chongqing to Bangkok through Vientiane (Laos) is to start operation.
The third, western route from Chongqing to Yangon (Myanmar) will be opened at the end of this year or early next year, said the director of the Chongqing transport corporation He Zonghai.
According to him, the opening of a cargo link between Chongqing and the ASEAN countries will allow delivering more fruits, cereals and other agricultural products from these countries to the Chinese metropolis.
