Hungarian Diplomat becomes new EU Special Representative for CA

Dushanbe. April 10. Silkroadnews – Hungarian diplomat Janos Hermans becomes a new EU Representative for Central Asia. This position was previously held by Partricia Flor, who has recently returned to Germany after two years of performing her duties, as the EU mission informs.
The new Special representative has been appointed by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton. He is meant to start performing his duties immediately.
Janos Hermans has previously held senior foreign affairs positions within the EU. He has been a EU Ambassador to Norway, has been a Hungarian Foreign Affairs Minister and also has been a Hungarian representative to NATO.
