Hungary supports granting China a market economy status

Almaty. May 31. Silkroadnews – Hungary supports granting China a market economy status, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto stated, Xinhua news agency reports.

“Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary supports granting China market economy status and believes that this will contribute to further development of China-European economic cooperation,” the publication says.

According to P. Szijjarto, further development of Chinese-European economic cooperation is very important for Hungary. China is one of the most important trade and economic partners of Hungary and the most important trading partner of Hungary outside the EU.

Total amount of Chinese investment in Hungary reached $3.5 billion, many Chinese enterprises consider Hungary as their base in Central and Eastern Europe.
