Almaty. September 14. Silkroadnews - If necessary, Russia will provide military aid to Tajikistan. This, said the aide to the head of RF, Yury Ushakov, transmits Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
He also stressed that the Russian side has repeatedly expressed support for the policy of the leadership of Tajikistan.
According Ushakov, meeting between Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon is scheduled for September 14 in Dushanbe.
He also recalled that during a telephone conversation on September 5, Vladimir Putin expressed support for the efforts of the leadership of Tajikistan to curb the attempts to destabilize the situation in the country and the preservation of internal and regional security.
Russian presidential aide also spoke about the forthcoming session of the Collective Security Council (CSC) of the CSTO, which will be held on 14-15 September in Dushanbe.
According to him, at a session of the CSC, priority attention will be paid to the problem of activation of terrorist and extremist groups, and the general security situation in the region.
This theme will be reflected in an appropriate statement of the Heads of States, members of the organization, which will be signed after the meeting.
Overall, at the summit planned to sign 14 documents, as well as to consider the CSTO Secretary General.
