IFC investment exceeds USD 120 mln in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek. May 15. Silkroadnews – World Bank’s IFC has invested over USD 120 mln in various Kyrgyz industries over 17 year period. This was reported by the IFC Country Officer Martin Naegele during the Bishkek International Investment Forum. IFC is one of the World Bank organisation. It is also the largest global development institute. IFC came to Kyrgyzstan in 1997.
“Since we started operating in Kyrgyzstan, we’ve invested over USD 120 mln in various industries of the country. Such as mining, agricultulture, financing and banking sector”, Mister Naegele said.
As reported earlier, Bishkek International Financial Forum BIFF-2014 is currently held in Bishkek. The event is supported by Kyrgyzstan government and USAID.
