Ilham Aliyev wins presidential elections in Azerbaijan

Beijing. April 12. Silkroadnews - According to preliminary data by the Central Election Commission (CEC), Ilham Aliyev receives 86% of the vote in the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports referring to Trend.
After processing ballots from 5,012 polling stations, the incumbent head of the state, chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ilham Aliyev receives 86% of the vote in the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov said at the meeting on the election results.
M.Panahov also noted, at the moment 3,273,278 bulletins have been processed delivered by 5,012 polling stations.
In the presidential elections, Azerbaijan has just completed, 8 candidates took part, of them 6 candidates were nominated by political parties, one self-nominee and one candidate was nominated by an initiative group.
894 international (61 organizations, 59 countries) and 58,175 local election observers took part in the election process.
In Azerbaijan, 5,314,365 people have the right to vote, 50.78% - women, 49.22% - men.
