Almaty. January 25. Silkroadnews - In 2015 the Chinese prosecutors have tested 54 thousand officials for bribes and negligence, the Chinese mass media reports.
“More than 54 thousand of the Chinese officials have come under prosecutor’s investigation of bribery, dereliction of duty and other official crimes committed in 2015,” - said a statement quoting the head of the Central Commission for Disciplinary Inspection of the Communist Party of China Wang Tsishan.
It is reported that in 2015 the courts considered 20 thousand cases.
“More than 20 thousand cases have been considered by the courts across the country, including 16 thousand cases of taking bribes and embezzlement and 4300 cases of non-compliance with due responsibilities. Summing up the fight against corruption for the last year, the authorities have received 2.8 million messages and punished about 336 thousand of discipline violators in 2015”, the publications reports.
Investigations against 90 officials of the central administration for misconduct began and ended in 2015, while 42 cases were handed over to the law enforcement authorities for criminal prosecution.
Besides, 49 thousand of officials have been checked as suspected of violating the article 8 of the rules of claim for combating indulgence, about 34 thousand have been reported in accordance with the disciplinary rules.
It also reported that the disciplinary inspection agencies are intolerant and severe to manifestations of corruption within their own personnel. 2 479 inspectors nationwide were punished in 2015.
Reportedly the initiative “Celestial network” allowed the Chinese government to return from abroad 1023 escaped fugitives and reimburse damages in the amount of 3 billion yuan ($461.5 million).
