In 2016 China and Egypt will hold a series of joint activities of the Year of Culture

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews – Within the nearest time two sides will hold a series of joint activities of the Year of Culture devoted to the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt, the agency Xinhua reports.
The deputy head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Culture of China Lu Yanfey said the opening ceremony of the Year of Culture will be held in the third week of January in the Egyptian city of Luxor.
According to him, this event will contribute to the strengthening of the traditional friendship between people of two countries and make the bilateral cooperation more active.
It is reported that a series of different events are planned to be carried out within the framework of the Year of Culture, among them are concerts, meetings of art communities, presentation of tourist resources, the exhibition of historical cultural monuments of Egypt.
The agreement to hold the Year of Chinese Culture in Egypt and the Egyptian culture in China in 2016 was achieved during a visit by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Khalil el-Sisi in China in December 2014.
