In 2017 US to allocate $4.26 billion to the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan

Almaty. December 26. Silkroadnews – US President Barack Obama signed a bill on 2017 military expenditures, saying $4.26 billion will be allocated to the needs of the Afghan security forces, Afghan news agency (AfTAG) reports.

According to the document, around $3.3 billion will be provided to the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, with Afghan Ministry of Internal Affairs to receive $930 million funding.

The funds are to be spent on development of infrastructure, procurement of vehicles and military equipment, as well as the training of Afghan security forces specialists and military operations.
