In 2020 China’s total capacity of nuclear power plants will amount to 58GW

Almaty. January 27. Silkroadnews - Total capacity of China’s nuclear power plants will amount to 58GW by 2020, the agency TASS reports.
“The total capacity of nuclear power plants in China will reach 58GW by 2020, in the future this figure will grow to 30GW,” - said the publication with reference to the White Paper on Nuclear Energy.
“Despite the progress China shall proceed to work on improving the safety systems applied in the course of nuclear power plants operation,” the book states.
The paper titled “China’s Nuclear Emergency Preparedness” reported that by the end of October 2015 the total capacity of 27 nuclear power plants of China made 25.5GW. By the end of 2014 the total capacity of nuclear power plants of China amounted to 20.3GW making 1.49% of all the power capacities of the country.
Nuclear power plants produced 130.58 billion kw/h, making for 2.39% of the total electricity generated in China.
