In Afghanistan, the economic growth in 2016 is expected to reach 3.1% - WB
Almaty. October 6. Silkroadnews - The World Bank predicts economic growth in Afghanistan in 2016 at 3.1%, reported the AfTAG.
As follows from the forecast of the World Bank, in the current fiscal year, the growth of Afghanistan's economy will be about 1.9% due to last year's political crisis and the withdrawal of US troops. But in the next 2016 - this figure will increase to 3.1%, and in 2017 to 3.9%.
If we believe the recent forecasts, the deficit of revenue at the end of 2015 compared with the planned value was 4 billion Afghanis, or about $70 million.
WB in its forecast assumes that such growth rates are completely inadequate for a country where the demographic growth of the population is 2.5%, and about half a million children are forced to go to work to support themselves.
