Almaty. December 11. Silkroadnews - In Bishkek opened largest in Central Asia's Orthodox church, construction of which lasted 20 years, reported KyrTAG.
"The temple can accommodate up to 2.5 thousand people, the height of the cathedral without a cross - 34 m, the total area of 1040 square meters. According to its architectural design it is a grand temple on the territory of the republic", - said in a statement referring to the Bishkek and Kyrgyz Eparchy.
New Orthodox church located in the southern part of Bishkek, construction works began in the mid-1990s.
