In Dushanbe were discussed the prospects of Iran-Tajik cooperation
Almaty. June 8. Silkroadnews - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a meeting with Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchiyan, reports the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
At the meeting it was stressed that cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, transport, communication tends to develop.
Also expressed confidence that the experience gained by the joint cooperation in the construction of Sangtuda-2 will be used in the construction of new hydropower facilities in Tajikistan.
Particular attention was paid to the development of relations between Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran, as well as the construction of infrastructure projects such as railways and power lines linking the three Persian-speaking state.
Rakhmon said that today in Tajikistan successfully operate more than 150 Iranian companies, the volume of trade between the two countries last year amounted to $228 million.
