Almaty. July 1. Silkroadnews - In Kyrgyzstan in July expected an increase in fuel prices. This was reported in the press service of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan, reports KyrTAG.
The current rise in prices of fuel in the wholesale market happens due to the high level of demand. The market of oil products annually passes through a period of stress in the summer months when the demand for gasoline is usually higher than production.
In addition, during this period, many refineries conduct routine repairs that also inevitably affect the volume of supply. Additional factors of growth of wholesale prices are also an increase in exports of petroleum products and reducing of gasoline imports from Belarus because of the high export parity.
Moreover, the increase in fuel prices is also affected by the government's decision to raise from June 1, 2015 the excise tax on gasoline from 3 to 5 thousand soms per ton. Rising of gasoline prices, coupled with an increase in the excise tax could reach about 1.5 soms per liter.
