In Kyrgyzstan sales tax shall be abolished since July 1, 2016.

Almaty. January 26. Silkroadnews – As of July 1, 2016 the law on the abolition of the sales tax shall come into force in Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG informs.
“What has been done by the government to prevent the economic downturn in the country? In the fiscal sphere the further liberal steps have been taken - a reduction of the tax burden through the gradual sales tax abolition - namely, the sales tax on sales of goods, works and services subject to VAT or exempt from VAT paid in non-cash form, except for cellular communications, is abolished as of July 1, 2016”, - said the Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev at the press conference hold on Tuesday.
He also noted that the tax is excluded from the export sales and shipments outside the country starting from January 1, 2016. In addition, the VAT registration threshold size got increased from 4 million up to 8 million Som.
