In Kyrgyzstan the electricity shortage this year amounted to 1.6 billion kWh

Almaty. November 6. Silkroadnews - In Kyrgyzstan this year, the electricity shortage amounted to 1.6 billion kWh. This was announced by Director of the State Agency for Regulation of Energy of the Government of the KR Nurbek Elebaev, transmits KyrTAG.
He noted that in Kyrgyzstan for a long time electricity cost amounted to 70 tyiyn per 1 kWh, the rate stayed the last 13 years.
"Only on August 1, we have a little raised the tariff to 77 tyiyn, ie 10% growth", - informed the director of the agency.
He noted that today imported electricity is used "almost throughout the year".
