In Kyrgyzstan, the inflation rate is much lower than in neighboring countries

Almaty. October 3. Silkroadnews- In Kyrgyzstan, the rate of inflation is much lower than in neighboring countries, according to KyrTAG with reference to the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"Inflation dynamics in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2004-2013 years. in average was within 5%. In January-September 2014, inflation in the Kyrgyz Republic was at the level of 4.7% (Russia overall level of prices in the current year as for 22/09/2014 amounted to 6.1%, in Kazakhstan in January-August 2014 - 5 4%)", - reported the National Bank on Friday.
Also it should be noted that the rate of depreciation of the KGS is still lower than that of the major trading partners of the Republic. In Kyrgyzstan, due to the influence of external factors, increasing the official rate of the dollar to the som in the current year amounted to 10.8%, while in Russia in January-September 2014 was observed depreciation of the Russian ruble by 20.6%, in Kazakhstan - 18.1%.
In Kyrgyzstan since 1993, was elected a floating exchange rate regime. In the context of this regime, the exchange rate fluctuations are a natural phenomenon and are associated with market conditions for a specific period of time. Guided by the current floating exchange rate policy, the National Bank can only smooth out sharp exchange rate fluctuations through foreign exchange interventions.
Recall, on September 29 Deputy of Parliament Kanybek Imanaliev said that Kyrgyzstan over the past 8 years, is leading to higher inflation. According to him, if in other countries, the rate of inflation is 3.5%, in Kyrgyzstan it reached 10.5%.
