In northern Tajikistan mudflow caused almost $1.7 million damage

Almaty. August 18. Silkroadnews – In northern Tajikistan mudflow caused almost $1.7 million damage, TajikTA informs.

«The preliminary damage of mudflow in Isfara city (an industrial city in northern Tajikistan) on August 16 amounted to 13.239 mln somoni ($1.684 mln)», the operational data of Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense reported on Isfara.

Thus, according to rescuers' information, six residential buildings got destroyed fully and ten residential units got partially destroyed. Another 272 houses were partially damaged along with the farms, roads, communication systems.

Emergency operations center has been organized for recovery of disaster consequences and assist the families suffered. The Deputy Chairman of Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of republic and region  arrived at the site.

No victims have been registered among the population.
