In the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan attended 88% of voters - CEC

Almaty. December 22. Silkroadnews - Voting at all polling stations in Uzbekistan on elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Parliament, provincial, district and city councils of people's deputies completed, reported the Uzbek news agency reported (UzTAG).
According to preliminary data, the turnout was more than 88% of the total number of voters, or more than 18 million people. Also completed and Conference of Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan, which have 15 of the 150 seats in the lower house of parliament, said at a briefing held on Sunday at 22:00 Tashkent time, the head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov.
According to the head of the CEC, the elections held in compliance with all democratic norms and principles enshrined in the Constitution and the electoral law. Information about electoral violations have been reported.
Currently at the ballot the votes are counted.
In light of the election process in Uzbekistan was attended by over 340 representatives of the accredited domestic and foreign media.
In the electoral process have operated more than 300 observers from five international organizations: ODIHR, OIC, CIS, SCO and VAIO (World Association of electoral bodies), as well as 50 states representing Asia, Europe, Africa, America.
