In Uzbekistan, from October 1, will be checked jewellery buyers for more than $13.7 thousand

Tashkent. September 30. Silkroadnews - Uzbekistan from October 1, introduces threshold unidentifiable jewelry buyers in the amount of the transaction up to 300 times the minimum wage (MW), which is about $13.7 thousand according to Central Bank of Uzbekistan, reports KazTAG with reference to the representative of the Attorney General of Uzbekistan.
"Persons engaged in operations with precious metals and precious stones, should take steps to customer due diligence when carrying out occasional transactions amounting to more than 300-fold of the minimum wage" - said the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office on Tuesday.
He said that these measures should be carried out both in terms of the buyer and seller with respect to precious metals and precious stones, as well as existing clients.
All these measures are taken to combaat money laundering.
