In Uzbekistan the participants and invalids of the Second World War will receive $270 by May 9

Almaty. April 19. Silkroadnews – President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree on awarding the participants of the Second World War, Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) informs.
“In connection with the May 9 national holiday - Day of Memory and Honor, as well as the celebration of the 71th anniversary of the victory over fascism in the Second World War 1941-1945, and for the purpose of material awarding the participants and invalids of the war to establish a one-time cash reward ( ... ) in the amount of 800 000 som”, the document says.
At present there are 3.1 thousand participants of the World War II and 69.9 thousand of the labor front veterans living in Uzbekistan.
