Almaty. June 25. Silkroadnews - Indian authorities are making efforts to expand relations with Iran, reports IrTAG on Thursday.
Indian authorities are making efforts to expand relations with Iran. This is evidenced by various reports in the Indian press. For example, English-language newspaper The Hindu on Wednesday wrote that Delhi is extremely interested in the use of transport and logistical capacity of Iran to enter the markets of Central Asia.
"By reducing the volume of imports of Iranian oil because of recent sanctions, India today exhibits an extreme activity in the restoration of the lost ties with Iran. This, in turn, will open India way to the markets of Afghanistan and Central Asia", - says the publication.
Furthermore, it stresses that the Indian authorities actually ignore the warnings of US about consequences of the relations with Iran and started to cooperate with Iran before the final deal on the Iranian nuclear issue concluded.
As reported earlier IrTAG, late last month, Iran and India signed an agreement on joint development of deep-sea port of Chabahar, located on the southeastern coast of Iran.
