Industrial production decreased by 1.4% in Kazakhstan in January-July
Almaty. August 12. Silkroadnews – The industrial production volume decreased by 1.4% year-on-year in Kazakhstan in January-July 2016, KazTAG reports.
According to Statistics Committee of the Kazakhstani Ministry of National Economy, during the reporting period the manufacturing industry growth rates made 0.6%. At the same time decline in mining and quarrying stood at the level of 3.2%, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning – at 0.2%, in water supply, sewerage system, waste collection and distribution control – at 4.7%.
For January-July of this year oil production, including gas condensate, amounted to 45.4 million tonnes (-3.4%) and copper ore – 41 million tonnes (+118.9%). Gasoline output made 1.8 million tonnes (+11.5%) and gas oil – 2.8 million tonnes (+7.5%). Flat steel production reached 1.6 million tonnes (+10.2%), refined copper – 0.2 million tonnes (+6.5%), portland cement – 5.1 million tonnes (-1.2%), electricity – 53.7 billion kWh (-1.2%), flour – 2. 3 million tonnes (+18.4%).
Industrial production growth was observed in 10 regions of the country.
