Inflation in Kyrgyzstan totaled 2.4% for five months
Almaty. June 9. Silkroadnews – In January-May 2017 level of inflation in the consumer sector of Kyrgyzstan totaled 2.4%, press secretary of the National Statistics Committee Boris Arabayev reported, KyrTAG wrote.
“The volume of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning provision exceeded the level of January-May 2016 by 12.2% due to growth in output and distribution of electricity, as well as distribution of gaseous fuels”, he said at the press conference on Friday.
According to B. Arabayev, since early 2017 prices for soft drinks and food products have increased by 4.6%.
“A significant increase in prices was observed for potatoes – 1.9 times, fresh vegetables price grew by 22.9%, apples – by 12.3%, fresh meat – by 2.4%. Prices have also increased since the beginning of 2017 for tobacco products – 14%, for services – 3%. At the same time, prices for non-food products decreased by 0.6%, alcoholic beverages – by 3.9%”, he added.
