Insurance companies to merge after banks in Kazakhstan in near future – Fitch Ratings

Almaty. April 1. Silkroadnews – Insurance companies are to merge in the near future in Kazakhstan, as Anastasia Litvinova of Fitch Ratings thinks.
“Among the important developments to foresee within a couple of years are mergers between insurance companies that will start happening after bank mergers. In other words, if banks are to merge, we are naturally expecting their insurance subsidiaries to merge as well”, Anastasia Litvinova said at the VII Annual Fitch Ratings Conference on Kazakhstan.
Fitch Ratings expect retail insurance to continue driving insurance market in Kazakhstan. It will grow in volumes following the private lending footsteps.
