International Anti-Corruption Center will be created in London

Almaty. May 12. Silkroadnews – The International Anti-Corruption Center to investigate and punish corrupt elites and recover stolen assets will be created in London, TASS reports.

The UK will create such a center in partnership with the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). The announcement on the center creation shall be made at today’s anti-corruption summit in the British capital.

As a whole the one-day forum is attended by delegations of 40 countries. It is expected that the heads of the states and governments will discuss ways to enhance international cooperation in the fight against corruption, recovery of stolen assets, beneficial ownership, public procurement, financial transparency.

Among the world leaders taking part in summit there are presidents of Afghanistan, Nigeria and Colombia, Prime Minister of Norway. The president of the World Bank (WB) and the US Secretary of State also confirmed their participation in summit.
