International Conference of World Heritage Cities of Eurasia will be held in Aktau

Almaty. August 21. Silkroadnews - International Conference of World Heritage Cities of Eurasia will be held in Aktau from August 24 to 27, reports KazTAG with reference to the Mangistau region.
"Aktau during 4 days will host exhibition of heritage cities of Eurasia, meeting of the Board of Eurasian worldwide organization "United Cities and Local Governments" and workshop on the preservation of historical and cultural heritage on the experience of the city of Aktau, and Kazakhstan", - said in a statement issued on Thursday.
Session of the World Heritage Cities of Eurasia will be chaired by the General Secretary of Organization of World Heritage Cities Denis Ricar.
It is noted that the theme of the conference is "Protecting and use of historical and cultural heritage in the Eurasian space".
Aktau is the first and only city in Kazakhstan, adopted in the international organization "United Cities and Local Governments".  Earlier, Akim of Aktau Edil Zhanbyrshin reported that the conference will be attended by more than 200 guests from region and abroad
