International conference on problems of the Aral Sea will be held in Uzbekistan

Almaty. October 27. Silkroadnews - From October 28 to 29 Urgench will host international conference "Development of cooperation in the Aral Sea Basin to mitigate environmental catastrophe" informs Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
"It is expected that it will be attended by over 250 experts from 25 countries. Its main objective - to mobilize resources and efforts of the international community for the implementation of practical actions, programs and projects aimed at improving the environmental and socio-economic situation in the Aral Sea basin region, and ensuring the further development of international cooperation to reduce the negative effects of environmental catastrophe",- said the organizing committee of the conference.
At the plenary session scheduled to run video on the problems of the Aral Sea. Will be discussed the implementation of regional projects, reports of the representatives of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, the heads of delegations of international organizations and donors.
