International Conference starts in Samarkand Reception House

Tashkent. May 16. Silkroadnews – International Conference on “Historic heritage of scientists and thinkers of Medieval East, its role and meaning in modern civilisation” started at Samarkand Reception House.
The experts from around 50 countries take part in the conference. This includes representatives of the USA, the UK, Italy, China, South Korea, Germany, Japan, India, Egypt and other countries. They also represent established international institutions, Undergraduate and Postgraduate professors, research institutions and centres.
Uzbek President Uzbek Islam Karimov participated atb the opening ceremony.
Deputy Director General of the UNESCO, Director of UNESCO’s office in Jakarta, Dr. Hubert Gijzen stressed his attention on special contribution of Medieval Eastern scientists and thinkers to development of global civilisation, science and art.
