Introduction of ban on right-hand drive taxi in Kyrgyzstan has been delayed until 2020

Almaty. April 15. Silkroadnews – President Almazbek Atambayev signed the law “On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the automobile transport””, KyrTAG reports.
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 3, 2016.
The purpose of the law is a postponement of the ban on right-hand drive taxi. To this end the adopted law changes part 1 of article 56 of the Law “On the automobile transport”, providing for the change of effective date of part 6 of article 6, which sets a ban on commercial use of right-hand drive vehicles for the purposes of passengers, baggage and cargo transportation and delivery, from January 1, 2016, to January 1, 2020.
The Law shall come into force when published.
