Almaty. March 16. Silkroadnews - Investors from abroad are showing interest in opening an Islamic bank in Tajikistan, says Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Monday.
Law "On Islamic banking" was adopted, but its full implementation should take regulations.
Adopted by the Majlisi Namoyandagon (lower house of parliament) of Tajikistan law on Islamic banking, allows investors to apply for opening or creating such an institution in the country (Islamic Bank).
"So far, mainly coming the oral treatment of investors from the Persian Gulf countries and even Europe. These investors are interested in the legislation of Tajikistan, the situation in the financial market, as well as macro and socio-economic situation in the country. However, an official request has not yet been received", - said the regulator.
