Iran and Armenia discussed cancellation of visas for two states national

Almaty. March 2. Silkroadnews – At the 11th consular consultation meeting in Yerevan Iran and Armenia discussed a cancellation of visas for two states’ citizens, Iranian mass-media report.

The event was headed by Director General for Consular Affairs at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ali Chegeni and Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Karmirshalian.

The session was also attended by the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi. The meeting participants voiced satisfaction on holding of the joint meeting and considered a wide range of issues to further develop bilateral cooperation, in particular, in the fields of tourism, trade and investment.

The participants of the meeting paid attention towards cancellation of visa for holders of ordinary passports as a measure contributing to build a proper ground for bolstering joint collaboration in various areas.

In view of full cancellation of visa for nationals of the two countries, the Armenian side proposed expansion of cooperation in various spheres to the regional level.

Summarizing the meeting results two states representatives signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
