Iran and Armenia will establish a joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation

Almaty. October 22. Silkroadnews - Iran and Armenia have agreed to form a joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
The decision on the establishment of the Iran-Armenian intergovernmental commission was made during the meeting of the First Vice President of Iran Ishaq Jahangiri with the Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan.
I.Jahangiri reported that the sides touched upon a wide range of bilateral issues, including trade and economic and environmental issues. According to him, at present, the amount of trade between Iran and Armenia reached $300 million.
In turn, the Armenian Prime Minister told the audience about the conclusion of several agreements between Tehran and Yerevan in various areas of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
He added that the agencies and departments of the two countries in the near future will be given specific instructions to ensure that they have provided an early finalization of comprehensive programs to further increase the mutual trade turnover.
