Iran and Azerbaijan have signed a number of documents on cooperation

Almaty. August 8. Silkroadnews – A number of documents got signed following the extended session with participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani held in Baku on Sunday, Trend reports.

The governments of two countries signed a protocol of intention on cooperation in implementation of the North-South international transportation corridor project; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the sphere of e-security was signed between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and High Technologies and Iran’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; a memorandum of understanding in the spheres of standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation was signed between Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent and Iran’s Institute of Standards and Industrial Research.

Among the other documents signed there are implementation program in tourism cooperation for 2016-2019 between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization; an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of plant protection and quarantine between the governments of Azerbaijan and Iran; a memorandum of understanding between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the Central Bank of Iran.
