Almaty. January 20. Silkroadnews - Representatives of Iran and China discussed the contract for the construction of two nuclear power plants in the southern Iranian coastal area Makran, the Iranian media reports.
As the Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi said the issue will also be discussed with President Xi Jinping during his upcoming visit to Tehran.
Beginning of construction of nuclear power plants of 1000 MW is planned for the coming months, he said.
A.Salehi also added the country is also considering the construction of several small hydro power plants of 100 MW capacity.
