Iran and China discussed the strengthening of cooperation in the field of health

Almaty. May 21. Silkroadnews - Iran and China discussed the strengthening of cooperation in the health sector, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
At the meeting of the Minister of Health and Medical Education of Iran Hassan Hashemi Kazizade and Minister of Health Chen Zhu of China, which was held on the sidelines the 68th World Health Assembly of the WHO in Geneva, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of medicine and health care.
In particular, the parties pointed out the need for closer cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries in the health sector, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, development and implementation of joint high-tech projects in the medical field, exchange of experience and the teaching staff, the organization and conduct of various specialized trainings, training seminars and specialized exhibitions.
Health ministers of Iran and China also exchanged views on possible cooperation between the two countries in the design and manufacture of modern medical equipment and technology. They also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of traditional medicine.
Ch.Zhu invited his Iranian counterpart to visit China to participate in planned for the near future in China's largest international medical exhibition.
68th World Health Assembly is held in Geneva from 18 to 26 May. The World Health Assembly is the supreme body of the World Health Organization (WHO), who makes key decisions. It is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States.
