Iran and France will establish a joint commission on economic issues

Almaty. September 23. Silkroadnews - Tehran and Paris have agreed to establish a joint commission for the implementation of strategic plans for the two countries in various spheres of economy. This was stated by French Secretary of State for Foreign Trade and Tourism Mathias Thecl, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
During the meeting with Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran Mahmoud Voezi, M.Thecl mentioned the conclusion of a long-term deal on Iran's nuclear issue and said that now Iran and France will open new opportunities for fruitful cooperation. At the same time, he recalled that relations between the two countries and peoples have their roots far back in history. In this regard, M.Thecl outlined his country's readiness to develop multifaceted cooperation with Iranian partners "in all possible areas" of bilateral relations.
On Monday in Tehran, for talks with Iranian officials, came the French delegation headed by French Minister of Agriculture Stephane Le Folem. The delegation also included representatives of the 150 major French companies and enterprises.
Due to the current regime against Tehran, international embargo, the trade turnover between Iran and France fell from 4 billion euros in 2004 to 500 million euros in 2013.
