Tehran. September 11. Silkroadnews - Iran and Qatar are planning to establish direct maritime shipping through the Persian Gulf, transmits the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
"In the near future, after obtaining approval from Doha, we will establish a direct line for the supply of goods by sea to Qatar", - said the head of the Organization for the Development of Trade of Iran Valiullah Afhamirad at a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Arab state in Tehran.
According V.Afhamirada Tehran attaches great importance to the development of trade and economic relations, and good-neighborly relations with Qatar.
"We held productive discussions on the expansion of trade relations with Qatar, and this issue is so important to Iran that recently the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran has appointed a special representative of our country economic issues in Qatar", - he said.
V.Afhamirad added that the Iranian leadership was in favor of deepening political and economic relations with all countries of the world.
